When Illusion Audio visited Crutchfield HQ, we'd heard about their CES Innovations Awards, so the buzz about their speakers was impressive, and Illusion's aim to “bring true home audiophile sound from the listening room into the car” was bold. So, naturally, we were curious to hear if these speakers lived up to the hype. We'll spare you the drama and just cut to the chase – these speakers sound phenomenal.
Premium sound made affordable
The Electra Series gives you access to Illusion Audio's acclaimed premium sound at their most affordable price. These Electra E4 CX 4" 2-way car speakers sport an injection-molded polypropylene woofer cone enhanced with a titanium coating. This combination of materials produces an incredibly rigid cone which can handle high-level playback while giving your music depth and presence.
Aluminum and silk
An aluminum dome tweeter with a distinctive silk surround handles the high range with optimal detail and refreshing smoothness. Illusion builds in an advanced crossover with tweeter overload protection to ensure each driver receives the proper audio signal, giving you the best possible sound for the price.
Grilles are not included; the factory grilles should be suitable for most applications.
